WHOI Deployment Issues
1. Discussion with Bruce K. this morning. He's reserved R/V Connecticut, April 17-23. Also has the R/V Tioga on hold. * Don Peters @ EOM has finished mooring design and lowered pump power req's through the gumby hose by lowering flow rate.
- They are shooting for a mid-March assembly date.
- They are ready to order Freewave modems and Brent will re-send them his suggestions.
2. Must talk to Theresa to begin the shipping issue. We will be sending ESP-Bruce, a surface mooring, and many spares (bugees, etc.)
3. Discussion ensued about a 'travel pack' that would allow shipment of ESP and surface mooring anywhere in the world. One big-ticket item is He Leak Detector; do we need a 'to-go' one? Consensus is we should have a leak detector; risk too high to not check. Doug had looked into leak detector options 1-1.5yrs ago. He will dig up old research. Perhaps we can purchase a hand-held that is better than our current one, but not as massive as the Pfeiffer.

129 Alkaline packs ordered (10 batteries/pack). Each deployment (Bruce, Moe spring, Moe Fall) will use 40 packs.
5. Brent has been in contact with Ivory RE: comms on the WHOI gumby. Ivory got 9600 baud using RS 422, but needed a ground, which was unusual. To make the WHOI comms work Brent estimates a week (5 full days) of work, which seems reasonable given our S. Cal experience.
6. Bruce is being reassembled and should be in the cold by Friday PM.
7. Will hold a 'travel' meeting tomorrow with Brent, Roman, and Kevin to hash out logistics of their travel to WHOI. Jim's office @ 11am.

1. Temperature probe is achilles heel. We've decided to go with RTD detector, and working with Scott has come up with the following design:

new pump is in-system will need a full flush - Torque wrench found for pulling bells together for HP testing. Procedure is worked out.
- ISUS cans have been pressure tested and passed. To be handed off to Luke after they drip dry.
- New ISUS cable has arrived.
- Pulse dampers are in shop. Should be finished mid next week.
5. Travel issues:* Van gets dropped in Newport on Friday. We'll run the dock QC Saturday and Sunday. Would be easier to leave van on trailer with generator.Other:
